The Dragon's Rock

Once there was a dragon's lair,
Beneath the surface still,
A fire-breathing monster: no,
A writer with a quill,

He wanted most his story shared,
And truly to be seen,
He wanted to be honored,
To have dinner with the queen,

Instead of being understood,
And seen for what he was,
His lot was cast for darkness,
And the reason was "because",

He never wrote his story,
For the fear of what would be,
And so a fossil he became,
A distant memory,

And so the dragon's story,
Brings to light what we must do,
To celebrate each person,
For there's not another you.
