Mountains in the Distance

Far across the distance,
Over mountains long and wide,
Still beyond the water's depths,
A kingdom lives inside,

With clouds, the sky is crystal clear,
And blue as diamond day,
The ripples on the water,
Are a shining give-a-way,

Reflections of what has returned,
To usher in anew,
A peace that warms the aching heart,
Like misty drops of dew,

Come swiftly now and hear at last,
The comfort of a song,
And gather in the mountains,
No more separate, wide and long.
